Hello my strawberries ! Today we are going to talk about the Winter arc. Honestly I discovered it this year but it’s such a life change that I would have liked to hear about it earlier. First of all, what is the Winter arc ? We’re starting it a little late because normally it should start on October 1st, but it doesn’t matter, it’s never too late to do it well. This concept consists of helping you to be more confident, more disciplined, personal development, limited distractions, and many other things to be the best version of yourself. It must last until January 1 to enter the new year in a good state of mind and with good habits. This is such a good idea because the fact that we wait until the new year to make good resolutions is sometimes more difficult to keep throughout the year but entering this year with these good habits will already be included in your routine.
So here is some advice that I saw and that I apply to succeed for Winter arc :
- Use your social networks less. During the Winter Arc, focusing on yourself is an essential element, so staying on your phone to watch people’s lives is very counterproductive. Make time restrictions on your social networks, Tiktok, Insta, Snapchat, etc. Especially if you do not use these application to work on it. So that is to say if you do not receive in return from this app, you did not have no need to use them as much.
- Go to the gym at least 4 times a week. Sport is definitely important for our health and the proper functioning of our body, so taking the time to do it is fundamental. If you think you don’t have time to go to the gym 4 times a week, try to start at least twice and do a sporting activity like running. Above all, do your daily movements every day, 10,000 steps ( 7 to 8 kilometers ) is ideal. This goes by very quickly if you walk instead of taking public transport.
- Try an inflammatory diet. Here are some foods that you can add to your eating routine : For Fruits, berries like blueberries or strawberries, they are very rich in antioxidants. In vegetables, broccoli is perfect because it contains anti-inflammatory compounds, spinach and kale are good because they are rich in vitamins and minerals. Always in the diet avoid processed foods, take fruit instead of sugar, watermelon has become my favorite snack. The 80/20 method is important because even if you eat 80 percent healthy, you have to keep 20 percent to reward you. I could do another article on healthy eating if you’re interested.
- Self love and inner work. Take more time to appreciate the person you are, inner work is an excellent way to do it.
- Cut ties with people who drag you down. If you want to be the best version of yourself, you can’t stay surrounded by people who don’t move you forward and are toxic to you.
- Read at least 10 minutes per day. I will never stopped talking about the importance of reading, I got into the habit of reading every day for 10 minutes or at least 10 pages.
- Journaling. Writing is also fundamental to the renewal of your personality. You can take the time to write down what you are grateful for or make positive affirmations, there are so many things you can write in your journal, just writing about your day can fill your journal.
- Drink more water. In the Winter Arc drinking more water is almost mandatory. Drinking cold water can temporarily increase metabolism, as the body uses energy to warm the water. Drink 1.5 – 2 L per day is ideal.
- Wake up earlier and sleep earlier. Sleep is essential, with the start of the school year we are sure to miss the sleepless nights that we tend to have in summer but that doesn’t stop us from going to bed early. The new version of yourself must learn to go to bed early, even if you think you have things to do before bed, find the time to organize them well to get at least 8 hours of sleep.
- Bring closer to religion. I saw a lot of people doing this during the Winter arc and I find it so important. Just the act of praying every day is a way to meditate and meditation helps to maintain serenity of mind. As it takes 20 days to get used to doing a new habit, focus during these 20 days on praying and after that you will do it automatically because your brain will know that it is a thing to do.
- Cultivated you. Learning a new thing every day should be something the new you needs to do, so take a moment during the day to research something that intrigues you and write down all the information you learned in a notebook. An article on culture will be available soon.
- Active rest day. With all your new habits you have to find time to rest but your rest must always be active, that is to say doing something useful for you like a self-care day.
- Prepare your week every Sunday. In my opinion, being organized is essential for a less stressful life, so every Sunday write down what you need to do during the week from the most important to the least important.
All this will allow you to succeed in your Winter Arc and to be the best version of yourself. The progress picture is something really good that can help you not to give up. It consists of doing the challenge at the same time as someone and sending them your dishes, the fact that you are reading or going to the gym every day. I think this is one of the best ways to stay disciplined.
With all these tips you no longer have any excuses ! Say goodbye to your couch potato era and say hello to that girl era.
I hope that you like this article, I will see you soon for other advice.
