Gratitude = Happiness

Hello my strawberries, I hope you were well ! In today’s article we will discuss gratitude and its benefits. We usually don’t realize how lucky we are, so having a gratitude journal allows us to realize that we are luckier than we think. Not only does gratitude allow us to put our problems into perspective, but it also helps restore our mental and emotional health. In my article “Stay Positive”, I already mentioned the fact that gratitude plays a big role in our mood. This allows us to remain positive despite the challenges because once again it allows us to put things into perspective. So here are some tips that will help you practice gratitude every day.

  • Gratitude Journal. Of course keeping a gratitude journal is fundamental to your process of practicing gratitude. Write down at least 3 things you are grateful for every day. In the morning, in the evening, or both if you want. Writing in the evening also allows you to write down the positive things you experienced during the day and even if your day seems hard, when you focus on the positive things when you have to write them down in your gratitude journal, you will realize that this day was less worse than you think.
  • Gratitude towards your loved ones. In general we always take everything for granted, even the people we love, so we forget to be grateful to them as if everything they did for us didn’t count. This behavior can affect your connection with the people you love, which is why gratitude is also very important. Always remember to thank what people do for you, especially if they don’t have to.
  • Evaluate the difficult times in your life. I think it will be the most difficult thing to do because I myself still have difficulty applying this on a daily basis, but thinking back to the difficult moment in your life and trying to see what this ordeal brought back allows you to finally mourning your past. Despite all the trouble you may have experienced, you came out stronger and it is very important to remember how strong you are. This brings me to my next point :
  • Gratitude towards yourself. Even if it doesn’t seem logical, it’s important to thank yourself for what you accomplish. Life is not always easy and the fact that despite everything you make efforts and succeed in something that you did not think you were capable of, that really deserves to be congratulated. This will help you increase your self-esteem because otherwise you would be at the same stage focusing on the negative aspects of yourself.
  • Gratitude even without your journal. Even if your writing in your gratitude journal is important, you should not forget everything you could be grateful for during each ordeal of the day. So every time you experience a problem during the day, whether it’s someone speaking badly to you on the subway or your boss snapping at you, don’t feel bad at the end of the day, because this day will only be a memory the next day so try to keep as many good memories from the day before as possible. Make sure that all the little details of the day are nothing compared to your good mood and your positivity.

That will be all for this article my strawberries, I know it is shorter than usual but I hope you like it. I’ll see you soon for another article !
