Hello my strawberries !
Today’s post is a little more fun than usual because we’re going to talk about how to make the most of summer. Like most of us, summer is my favorite time of the year, it’s the break after a long period of work. But sometimes, summer can get a bit boring, especially when you’re not traveling like everyone else.
This year is going to be different, even if you’re not lounging by the beach. Here are a few tips to help you enjoy your summer more than ever :
1. Be a tourist in your own hometown.
This is honestly one of the best advice I can give you. Once you start seeing your town from a tourist’s perspective, you’ll be amazed. Visit tourist spots, eat at new restaurants, and do things you’ve never done before, even if you’ve lived there forever.
2. Romanticize your days.
My second favorite piece of advice : act like the main character. Even if all your friends are on vacation, you can still be that mysterious, intriguing character everyone talks about in movies.
3. Find joy in the little things.
As kids, we never got bored because our imagination made anything fun, a treasure hunt, a water fight, and so on. Don’t let that inner child disappear as you grow up.
4. Beach day.
If you can, find the nearest beach/lake/river, even if it’s a four-hour drive, turn it into a road trip. Being near water, even just once this summer, will make all the difference.
5. Watch the sunrise and sunset.
The sun is at its best during summer. Watching it rise or set is something you absolutely must do. It’s simple but magical.
6. Set up an outdoor movie night.
If you have a garden, hang up a white sheet and use a projector for an open-air movie night. You can even do it on your balcony and use pool floats as makeshift outdoor couches.
7. Do some simple activities.
Make friendship bracelets, paint outside, read in parks, to stay in the summer mood, pick a book set during this season. I’ll be posting a summer reading list soon in the book section of the blog.
8. Journal or vlog your summer.
Get a special notebook just for Summer 2025 and fill it with photos, receipts, drawings, anything you want. You can also create a memory box to store your favorite moments. Plus, filming your summer gives you a reason to keep doing fun things.
That’s all for today’s post!
I hope you enjoyed it, and I’ll see you soon for a new article !!
