Paris is known for being the city of love, but it’s also, and especially, the fashion capital of the world. Last week was Fashion Week : that time when celebrities come to Paris and models run through the metro heading to their next show.
If you walk around the 1st, 3rd, 7th or 8th arrondissement during this period, you’ll probably see someone famous. And if you wear a standout outfit, you might even get photographed.
What I love doing during this week is visiting fashion exhibitions. This year, the Palais Royal is hosting the Acne Paper exhibition ( by Acne Studios ). It’s a mix of art, photography and fashion that reminds us fashion is truly a form of art.
As for trends, colors are back : fuchsia, moss green, aqua blue…Tight clothes are being replaced by loose, flowing styles, and minimalism is giving way to bold prints from the 70s.
Other trends to note : the return of structured suits like in the ‘90s, minimalist futuristic looks with AI generated prints, and also, surprisingly, flip-flops are back. Yes, flip-flops. Who would’ve guessed ?
But the star of Fashion Week 2025 was definitely XXL faux fur, bold, cozy, and still unbeatable.
Fashion Week is over. The metros are calming down ( sort of ), and the camera flashes are fading… until the next big media event.
