As the beautiful weather arrives, we can’t help but think about vacations and warm countries. Traveling can be expensive, making it inaccessible to most of us, so this article will serve as a guide to help you travel from the comfort of your home ! It may seem impossible, but we’ll do our best to explore as many countries as we can and make the most of summer.
- International cooking.
Cooking is a great way to get to know different cultures, and what better way to discover a country than through its food ? Look up recipes and try changing countries each week. That way, if you ever visit that country, you’ll already know some of its specialties.
2. Movie Nights.
Movies are one of the best ways to discover a country and to travel from home. Even if some films show the very romantic side of the country, you will still get a glimpse of what it looks like. (I will soon share a list of movies I’ve seen that take place in cities you’ll probably want to visit.) Documentaries will give you cultural insights into a country and also allow you to discover its traditions.
3. Books days.
Like movies, books are also a great way to travel, and reading will push your imagination even further. If you’re even more passionate, you can read travel guides with details about places you’d love to visit.
4. Museums.
Museums are also a way to travel and discover a country, even if it’s just the history of that country. They help expand your general knowledge, so that’s another reason to visit them.
5. Learn a New Language.
As someone who loves learning, language learning has always been a hobby of mine. Traveling is about discovering a country, its traditions, and also its language. So, even if you don’t travel this summer, you can always learn the language of the country you want to visit. That way, when you book your ticket, you’ll already speak like a local !
6. Google Earth.
Google Earth is a tool that will allow you to explore a country in depth. So, if you didn’t know about it and have a long list of countries you want to visit, now is the time to get a sneak peek with Google Earth. ( Check now )
